LATE-BREAKING ABSTRACTS
“EuGMS Scientific Committee has decided to open a new call for LATE-BREAKING ABSTRACTS submission!
Opening: August 28th, 2023 / Deadline: September 6th, 2023
IMPORTANT: Please, note that to submit a late-breaking research abstract, the research must be novel, innovative, contemporary, and must highlight the main results of scientific studies presenting a major relevance that could not be completed prior to the original deadline.
Late-breaking abstracts must not have been presented, accepted for presentation, or published at any other scientific meeting or journal at the time of submission.
SECURITY ALERT
A growing number of fraudulent websites and companies, pretending to be the EuGMS or partners of the EuGMS, are offering registration, hotel bookings and other services for the upcoming EuGMS Congress in Helsinki. The EuGMS does not accept any responsibility for bookings made via unofficial websites/agencies or any resulting financial lost.

we would like to invite you all to participate in the next EuGMS congress in Helsinki, Finland, during 20-22 September, 2023. Last year in London, we had a record number of participants, the majority of them being onsite – an impressive joy after such a long time! This year we plan to run an even more vibrating event together, under the theme of
Healthy Aging in the Changing World
We are now living the Decade of Healthy Aging, declared by the United Nations. Therefore, healthy aging is a — if not the — “hot topic” of our societies. Finnish colleagues have a long track record in the research and implementation of interventions to promote health, starting from the North Karelia project in the cardiovascular field to the more recent FINGER project in the field of cognitive impairment and dementia.

PS: Why not spend some more time in Helsinki and Finland pre- or post-congress. Some suggestions besides the many attractions of Helsinki: Lapland with its unique nature and colourful autumn is at an easy reach from Helsinki, the inland city of Tampere (1.5 hours by train from Helsinki) is an interesting culture hub, recognised recently in the Financial Times and the Times. Or, how about a day-trip by ferry over the Gulf of Finland to Tallinn, a medieval city and the capital of Estonia.
